I think this is a great idea however I found the suggestions given in Tarrant catalogue limited. My first search was 'qwick' and it gave me 'quit' when I was expecting 'quick, and the next search itried was 'queit' and it gave me 'quit' when I was expecting 'quiet'. The words I expected it to suggest follow basic grammar principles. If ours could be widened to suggest 2 alternatives this could be helpful. I was impressed though when I typed in 'australi' the search results page for 'australia' came up without asking 'did you mean...
Session timeouts are great for the clients but frustrating for the staff. Our Location maps are proving popular (if a little confusing) with the clients. Thank you for the opportunity to comment and please enter my name in the draw - Margery. Do you find this valuable? |

Have a look at the University of Waikato libary catalogue and do a search for "queit" or "Australai". There was some discussion on a list regarding the quality of the word lists that are searched when implementing this feature and I think the people at the University of Waikato did a lot of work to have excellent lists. They also had to have specific Maori word lists.
